I was contacted by the American International School of Brazzaville under the recommendation of the Director of the American School of Abidjan for the design of their new website. The objective was to design a dynamic, responsive and modern website with recent technologies, in order to allow the different parents of students to easily access information about the school from any devices. I started the development of their website by designing a beautiful and elegant template based on the school’s main color.

I have integrated a smart search bar into the site to boost the user search experience to the maximum. It provides a live ajax search, which makes the website search experience more comfortable. The results are presented with images, so they look more attractive and less flat. I integrated to the website a chatbot, the goal was to make sure to provide students, parents, and other members of the school community a convenient way to get information and assistance. I programmed the Chatbot to answer common questions, provide information about school policies, admission information, cantine and much more, to help users navigate the website, to provide a quick and easy way for users to get the information they need, and to help to improve the user experience for those visiting the school’s website. I also integrated a fillable PDFs into the website. Parents of students used to fill out the school forms by hand and then had to rescan them to send them to the administration team, this task was difficult for the staff members because they had cases where the form was often illegible. So the advantage of the fillable PDF for the school is that it can be filled out electronically, which means you don’t have to print them out and fill them in by hand, you can enter your information directly into the form, which can help reduce errors and ensure that the information provided is accurate, you can save time by not having to print and mail the form, or deliver it in person and it can be easily shared via email. The project was a success. From the school Director to the Parents everybody was happy about the new school website because it meets their requirements.
